This excursion to the V&A  for the ‘Horace Walpole & Strawberry Hill’ exhibition follows-on from the Lecture held on Monday this week. It is the first major exhibition on Horace Walpole, the most important English collector of the eighteenth century, and will bring together many of his most remarkable objects.

It was hoped to undertake an excursion to Strawberry Hill House in Twickenham, Britain’s finest example of Georgian Gothic architecture and interior decoration, in April.  Alas, currently the house is undergoing a revamp, so the date of this excursion has had to be put back to Monday 13 September.  Make a note in your diary and look out for the booking form in the May Bulletin.
